SHIGEYOSHI HOOPS

These round earrings reinterpret the signature form of The Umetada’s triple ring—expanded into a circular composition with intricate definition. Its surface is densely detailed, worked like lace into every millimeter, where no plane is left untouched. To wear it, the circle opens vertically on a hinge, allowing the post to pass through the ear and click into place. Once fastened, the lobe rests between the two halves—making the ear itself part of the design. What begins as a sculptural loop becomes an act of precision: the body completes the form.
